2020 was an unforgettable year. The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic ravaged the world, and New Zealand quickly went into lockdown. During this time, JDLive (Jingde Vision) emerged as a beacon of hope, providing a refreshing and interactive window for the anxious and isolated Chinese community in New Zealand. Using advanced live-streaming technology, it innovatively showcased knowledge sharing and information exchange, allowing Chinese people to stay connected without leaving their homes. It became the most influential Chinese community mainstream video platform at the time. Within just six months, it rapidly grew to nearly 30,000 registered users, with almost 60,000 people having used the platform, and nearly 800 live-streaming sessions held. It even set a remarkable record with a single live stream attracting over 50,000 viewers. As a pioneer in online live streaming for the Chinese community in New Zealand, Jingde Vision has steadily navigated through five years, staying true to its original mission of serving the community.
